5000 Maduro

Tasting Note: A dark cigar draped in a rumpled wrapper, though the draw and burn are even and consistent. There's lots of spice on the palate as well as licorice and hickory.

Dark and pressed with a streaky wrapper and lots of rich smoke on the draw. It's woody and piney with a fresh tobacco character and an allspice finish

Issue: Cigar Aficionado, Apr 01, 2003
Score: 90
A dark, veiny and chunky robusto. The draw is a bit loose. The flavor is complex, smacking of cinnamon spice, leather, and black coffee, with a nutty finish. Medium to full bodied.

Issue: Cigar Aficionado, Apr 01, 2002
Score: 89
Chunky and brown, this cigar is nicely made. It burns and draws well. The smoke is extremely nutty, with hints of cedar, bread dough and a spiciness that gets more intense as the cigar is smoked.
