通用雪茄公司退休职工艾尔芳斯·梅耶谢世

烟草在线据《烟业通讯》报导编译 在与脑癌进行时间短的奋斗以后，长期来一向担任通用雪茄公司的烟叶采购员的艾尔芳斯·梅耶于10月11日逝世，享年79岁。
梅耶在烟草业作业了46年，从1961年到2001年，他一向为通用雪茄公司作业。在他从事的最主要的作业中，包含采购满足的烟草来制作闻名的Macanudo和Partagas雪茄。从通用雪茄公司退休以后，梅耶在74岁高龄时开办了自个的雪茄行。
梅耶出生于荷兰的阿姆斯特丹。二战以后，他与在阿根廷的爸爸聚会，并开端出售烟草商品。1952年，他在古巴观赏了第一个烟牧场，并在那里做了5年的学徒。
